A bird sitting on a naked wire carrying current feels quite
safe, but when the wire between his feet is cut and joined
by a very long loop of wire, the bird dies. Why?

Answer Posted / sanju

In the first case it feels quote safe, because the feathery
pad under hid feet is a poor conductor and hence the
current, talking the path of least resistance, flows
straight along the wire and the bird is unaffected. In the
second case the resistance of loop becomes considerable and
is of the same value as that of feathery pas. So a part of
the current passes through his body and it dies.
