QA is in Whole on the System perspective including Process
and consistantly improving the quality of the system
through Compliance.
Verification can be done on the Product by means of
Requirements docs Technical Review (formal and informal)
Test Case Verification by Peers or Functional lead
Code walkthrough by QA and Tech leads.
Answer to 2:
Test Strategy tells that what you are going to test and
what not going to test.(also when you are going to test is
optional and some time this can put into test plan)
Test Methodology is how you are going to test - Bottom UP
and Top-down
