consider any webaddress. for example http://www.yahoo.com.
what are the protocols are used and what are the osi layers
are involved in this webaddress?
Answer Posted / murali
there are 7 layers in osi starting from physical to
application layer. but everything starts from the user and
ends to a user.
we use a browser which is an application to access the HTTp
protocol or HTTpS . so this is how it works
browser -> http(portno :80tcp)(transport layer)-> network
layer -> datalink-> physical layer -> DNS (Convert from url
to ip) -> fetches info from web server.
