How should I prepare for GD/PI for SBI bank -Po exam

Dear all,
I was under the impression that we give both GD and PI.
One of the above posts suggests that only those who
clear GD will be going in for PI ... is that so ???
My suggestion for GD - PSUs , a boon or bane ??
