Solution
Apply approximation.
Find the time (t hours) taken for both trains to meet:
15t + 20t = 5000
35t = 5000
35t / 35 = 5000 / 35
t = 1000/7
Find the approximated distance flied by the bird:
25 * (1000/7) = 25000/7
The distance is 25000/7 miles
