why should we connect the no load components in a
equivalent circuit of transformer in parallel?why cant it
be in series.

As no-load current comprises of magnetising current and
core losses,friction and windage loss and no-load copper
losses which are constant and are a part of the primary
current. So primary current at no-load is equal to sum of
the above.Hence connected in parallel.
