it is a statement which is made by accountant by the end of
every month to show differences between pass book and cash
book, for ex: interest not shown, bank cheque bounced, not
credited, etc.

Why in a cash book receipts are debited while the same if received in our books recepits are credited. Why does cash book have a rule to debit receipts and credit payments.
