In Ancylostoma duodenale a nematihelminthes parasite the
cuticle on either side of cloaca is expanded as flaps
supported by ribs of thick tissue called copulatory bursa
used for holding female during copulation.
the dorsal wall of cloaca is thickened and becomes
chitinous which is called gubernaculum.
it guides the spicules into female worm during copulation.
