The starting circuit of of a3-phase motor has a contactor
wherein all the 3 phases of the supply are connected to it.
Whereas in 1-phase motors only 2 phases are required & the
third input of the contactor is looped from it's own
output.The main diffrence can be spoted in the power
diagram itself.

For a 6.6kV Motor it is recommended to do megger test with 500 V d.c and not more than 5kV d.c but the Hi voltage withstand test should be performed by 12kV AC. Why the dc voltage test should be limited but AC voltage withstand test could be with such a high voltage?

In Air circuit breaker LSIG protection unit is used. Without fault in cables (2 runs 3Cx150Sq.mm Copper, 1Kv grade, XPLE armored cable IR value is more than 550Mohm @ 500V Megger) and load section Long time Overcurrent protection is triggers and trips the unit. We changed LSIG protection with new factory tested unit. Even then fault is persisting. Please suggest the possible causes
