Voltage transformer is a commercial step up or a step down
transformer....which is used to step up or step down the
voltages respectively.
The potential transformer is one which is used to measure
the high voltages in transmission lines,and gives output in
the form of measurement of voltage by the voltmeter.
The secondary of the P.T is Grounded.
