Gear is a mechanical device to transmit the torque by
varying the speed ration. Some time it can be use to
transmit the same amount of torque and speed also.

1) Any pipe line working fluid may water / steam on it one manual isolation valve suppose one side of valve 6 kg/ cm^2 pressure (i.e. up stream) and other side is “ 0” kg/ cm^2 pressure(i.e. down stream) . So how much Tourqe required for opening the valve in terms of Newton force wheather normal man can open this valve. (for reference pipe nominal bore is 100 NB )
