Priming is the action of filling suction pipe and the pump
with water.
This is done to remove the air present inside the pump.
When the impeller rotates it tries to throw the water inside
it due to centrifugal force and the vacuum produced is
immediately filled by the water in the suction pipe.
If air is present, and since air is a compressible fluid,
vacuum is not produced inside the pump while impeller making
the rotation and no water flow takes place.
