In Reporting, a reporting analyst analyse and prepare the
report as per the request.
you must answer like this.
I get different kind of requests from my managaer
(requester) for different tasks,
1 first i will understand what information exactly the
requester required.
2 i will go through the data (database) and analyse which
field is in which table.
3 then write the query to pull the required fields from
different tables.
4. Give current criteria to get the exact result without
any issues especially when you use multiple tables.
5. save the query with detailed description and run the
query.
6. i will note that query name with description in separate
document, so that next time when i get the same request i
can you this query, it saves lot of time.
7. i will save it in perticular format (excel,CSV etc.,) as
per the request.
8. do the formating data with nice headings, nice font,
current size and Colours for heading background.
9. add it to zip and encrypt with the password, then i will
try to open with the correct password.
10. i will send the report to the requester including
required "CC" in mail.
11. checking the mail id before sending it, and make sure
we are not sending to unauthorised persons.
11. password will be sent in saperate mail, so that if the
first mail (report) gone wrong still they cant open it.
12. this should happen with in the TAT.
