Why the core of a underground cable is spiral in shape
instead of straight??
Answer Posted / ranga2k8
In order to increase the ruggedness & thereby mechanical
strength of cable, it will be made in spiral in shape. One
more reason is we can bend the core whenever a sharp curve
is needed in the erection of cable.
