Assuming the Requirements of web-based Address book as:
(1)Able to add & delete new contacts
(2)Able to search/view contacts with sorting functionality
Testscenarios are:
(1)User can successfully add new contact to address book
(2)Duplication of contact is identified.
(3)User can successfully Delete the required Contact.
(4)User can view the contacts from the Alphabetic order
(5)User can manully search by entering the search criteria.
from the search menu option.
6) the above are the sample scenarios if you are good
thinker
then there can be more testscenarios and sub scenarios.
IMP: add more than 100 records and see if the variables
used accept more than 100 users....sometimes using default
data types gives this error
7)Last one which i think is imp: the search should be as
appropriate as possible with accurate results

I know functional test cases are derived from frs and system design specs. But are test cases for performance, database, boundary, relational integrity and other types of tests other than functional tests created from frs and system design specs as well? When are these test cases created? Are they in the same test plans alongside functional test cases or is their a different test plan that includes these test cases?

hi all I have an overall experience of 12 years working in an EDP setup(worked in a manufacturing setup in a German MNC). On my request, I was relieved from my duties in Sep 06 for maternity reasons. However I would like to pursue a career in a software organization as a manual tester. I obtained my proficiency certificate in Software Testing from STAG SOFTWARE LIMITED 2 months ago i.e in May and would now like to continue working in this field. However I am unable to find a job until now. If anybody knows of a opening at bangalore, kindly let me know.
