During the winter season the humidity in the air is very
low secondly the static electricity that is persent in our
body ( this is also inscereased by the friction of the body
to the surfacees ) discharges when we touch a conducting
medium and we feel the elect. shock . This is amplified if
you are sitting on a plastic chair for a long time.
This phenomenon can be observed while in bed when you are
covered with a wollen blanket a slight rub of hands on the
blanket with produce a spark in dry environment.

We have a couple of oil tanks at our plant. One of them does not have a lightning arrester installed. My question is it necessary to install an arrestor on every tank or will this particular one be covered by the arrestor installed on the ajdacent tank, Since all the tanks are close to each other.
