MCB- means is Miniature Circuit Breaker.
MCB having a bi-metallic strip thats senses the current
flow as the metal produces heat.
MCCB- means Moulded Case Circuit Breaker
MCCB 's are useful for high current applications, where bi-
metalic strip is not useful for sensing current through
heat. Its having a sensing circuit which senses current
throgh a group of resistances, and the calibration is very
necessary in such systems. beyond some specified value of
current, arc quenching medium to be incorporated. so
preferably MCCB rating should be less than say 600 Amps.
