What is the make of breakers, transformers, generators? What
are their capacities and ratings?
Answer Posted / zahid noor
Make of Breakers available in India are so many, common of
them are L&T, SIEMENS , ABB, CONTROLS & SWITCHGEAR etc
depending upon their technology of collaboration. They are
rated on Voltage LEVELS for which they are to be used &
current capacity.
Similarly Transformers are also in a wide range depending
upon requirement POWER TRANSFORMERS are rated in MVA & make
available are BHEL, CROMPTON, AREVA,BHARAT BIJLEE,SIEMENS
where as Distribution Transformers are very common in have
rating in KVA , available in India are thousands of Brand
of which very common are TESLA,
AWADH,STARPOINT,STARDELTA,MORSONS.
Similarly Generators are also in KVA IN HIGHER RANGE IN
MVA/MW common generators make are kirloskar,Greaves,GIMMCO
ETC.
