What is the state of the processor, when a process is
waiting for some event to occur?
Answer Posted / tejas gawade
processor will enter in "idle loop" in which "sleep"
instruction will be executed to move processor to sleeping
i.e. power saving mode.
In this state processor can accept interrupts and come out
of sleeping state.
So actually processor "do nothing" in this situation.
