Do immigrant parents (They got green card just 6 months before) have great negative impact in getting F1 visa (student visa) when all other credentials are very good ? (I mean very good unergrad result, test scores, good financial strength in home country..)

hey..... i'm applying for spring. I have planned to do Bachelor in hospitality and tourism management.. the colleges that i;m applying does not require sat... bt i have already taken the date for sat on 8th October..... i'm not hoping to get good scores ...... if i'll get low scores, does it will affect the visa..... i have keen interest to do the mentioned major and i have also done "flair bartending" course which is unique and is a part of the major... plz give me suggestions.....

I am planning to do my higher studies in Fall 2010. I am getting married in June 2010 and I want to do my higher studies in F1 visa. My queries are as follows: Is it true that we cannot pursue higher studies in H4 visa for atleast an year? In what way does the marital status affect my chances of getting F1 visa?
