LA is a non-linear resistor i.e. during normal condition it
offer high resistance but during abnormal condition
(abnormal voltage ) it acts as a low resistor thus allow
the heavy fault current and provide path to ground.
It is pointed one as charge resides/attracted by pointed
object and always placed at top of switchyard/building.

In our factory so many iron pillors are exists for supporting the shed/Hangar. If do more no of earthings at one piller instead of doing more earth pits in many locations and running earth strip around the hanger, I can save the money.
