Reactor is a device like capacitor.which is normally
connected on high voltage swithchyard maximum 400kV in the
account of compensate reactive power on station in during
night hours (low power supply-due to industrial shut down
at night). we can classify it into two types 1.Switched
reactor 2.non swithched reactor.
simply it is power compensating device.
