Before doing Feasibility study for the above,few queries
that one should have answers for are,

1.Is the application for test automation web based or
standalone?
2.What are the tools available in the market.
3.What is the tool that is most prominently used by most of
the companies and why?
4.Whether the tool supports to test-automate my test
requirements?
5.If yes, how much coverage that the tool will provide in
automation of Testing activities in my project?
90%/80%/..etc test effort can be automated.
6.If a tool is providing certain features for automation of
X,Y,Z features in a given application,which are very much
resemble in my application, then one can go for the tool to
use for automation.

And Time,Effort,& Cost(Budget)are the 3 things to keep in
mind before tool evaluation for test automation. Cost&
Benefit analysis includes the same.
