skin effect is a phenomenon occuring in solid conductor
carrying AC supply, which leds the current to flow maximum
at the surface, this current density difference at the core
and the surface is due to the flux linkage in the core of
the conductor is more and leads to greater inductance
inside the core. And the skin effect occurs!
and the inductance is dependent on the frequency.
