in india,we use 230V,50 Hz,whereas many other countries use

Nothing can be specified about the advantages & the
disadvantages of 230 V & the 110 V supplies.
It is the rating of the equipments that decides the voltage
level. In a simlar fashion, we can have control circuits
working at 230V (A.C. / D.C.), 110V (A.C. / D.C.).
