there is no restriction for your to travel on B2 mostly but
don't assume you will get 3months initially because its the
one who decides at the port of entry. Definitely there will
be questions waiting for you at port of entry and make your
answers prepared and your well answers will decide your
duration of stay and even there are chances to reject your
entry too.

I applied for a B1/B2 visitor visa in May and went to lagos for the interview although i was going to attend a training programme( Faith internaqtional training school) which was going to last for 5 months. i stated i will be staying in the USA for 5 months and i never lost a passport and have not travelled within the last 5 years but i am married with a son working with the local government and salaRY #180,000 Had all the necessary documents to back up my claims yet i was denied under the 214b sectiion, was issued the blue paper and the VO didnot check any of my documents. I have rebook the appointment again for this month next week although made changes to my previous claim that i lost an old passport with three countries visas, GHANA, PORTUGAL , ROMANIA where i visited sometime ago and got a reissued passport which is not carrying any VISAS as at now and also stated that that i will be staying in the USA for only 10 days as my church which recomended me for the training expect to return after ten days of the spiritual enrichment programme to be ordained a pastor . Do you think my past record could be used against me and what are my chances for getting the Visa now going to the embassy at Abuja ????

I've applied 4 USA B2 visa with me, my wife n our 7 months old son. V both are govt. teachers n have movable property of 4 to 4.5 lakh n imovable 35 to 36 lakh n have sponser assurity with sufficient funds. Wat kind of steps should I take to clear the interview? helllo....i was refused visa twice at delhi consulate more than 2 years back under section 214b...i was a fresh passout from my college and wasnt employed...i wanted to go to US for my national board dental exam...i was rejected in may and july 2010 respectively...now i have been invited by Ny dental department to attend a conference in november 2012 (23-28th november) and present a presentation on the topic i reseacrhed in india after my graduation...i have received the invitation letter from them as well...i have registered myself for the confernce too... right now i am employed in various aspects:- 1. I run my own private dental clinic more than 1.8 years back 2. i work for aa rotary club hospiatl as a consultant doctor 3. I work for 3 private nursing homes as an on call dental surgeon. I have attended many conferences in india relating to my profession dentistry but not overseas.. and im engaged already in march 2012 and my marriage is in january 2013.... do i have a stronger case to apply this year an as i have faced the rejection scene twice im still afraid to apply again... and do i write marital status as single in application form Ds-160 or in others box with enagaged in it. thanks...

we planned our trip to us on june 15th 2009(booked the roundtrip ticket). we got an appoinment on june 8th 2009 for the interview.we can show all the documents clearly.but my doubt is only with the financial background.At present we saved 65000sr.could anyone say howmuch we have to show in our account for the interview or this money is enough.expecting a reply fast. thanks maya
