WHAT TI THE REASON FOR THE NOISE PRODUCED IN THE TRANSFORMER?..

Answer / manasa

transformer noise is caused due to magnetostriction.
transformer is made up of many sheets of special steel. A
transformer is magnetically excited by an alternating
voltage and current so that it becomes extended and
contracted twice during a full cycle of magnetization. So
this causes extension and contraction of the sheets which
vibrate erratically and produce noise
