nice to know your interest to write group-1 service exam.
next notification wud be around december last week.every institute is best in their own way and worst in many ways. you have lot to choose from. If u r from english medium then go 4 RC REDDY .as far as course duration is concerned mit depends on the course u want from them , they give foundation course(civil services) stretches to 1 year and capsule courses like optional 1(prelims) , general studies(prelims) ,optional 1(mains),optional 2(mains),and of course general studies(mains).where each capsule will be covered in 3 months . Its up to you ,how many capsules u can take in 3 months in parallel or you can finish them one by one .Course fee? here in HYD Brain tree offers foundation course(includes all the capsules u need to become a civil servant !!!) for 40-50K. and RC REDDY for 35K-40K.if u want to take coaching in capsules then each capsule costs around 8K(RC REDDY),12K(brain tree).In delhi foundation course may be around 70K-80K, and in capsules it cost 20K-30K. you can have correspondent material from almost every coaching center in delhi , In hyd i dont think anybody providing . u just send them DD, material reaches you. Wotever , you have HSC in Hyd which offers you coaching for just 3K for each capsule. for GS this institute ( i personally feel)is suitable for new comers.what else????.....hmm... dont ever mention email Ids and mobile numbers in forums u j*** !!!.

hi, I am planning to attempt the group-1 exam this time. Could you please clarify my doubts, 1. I have read in the syllabus that there will a screening test, which will decide the entrance to the prelims. If so when this exam will happen and with in how many days will get the results?. So that can attempt the other papers. 2. After this, has all the 6 papers (grp-1 prelims) will be conducted in the same day or how will it be? Thank you so much in Advance!

Hi, I have submitted group 1 chalan on 18-08-2009 and paid the fee in SBI on the same day. On 19-08-2009, after entering refernce no, journal no, date of birth, date of payment and uploading the photo with signature, when I click "upload" button, I get the error saying that the journal no is wrong. But i have verified it with SBI again. The number is correct. Can anyone please tell me what has to be done. Kindly help me.
