After Installation of WIN XP desktop shows only one ICON of
Recycle Bin. Why?

as per my knowledge this is the only icon whcih disply
change if deleted material is in the Bin. Rest of all icon
dosn't change.

its a default setting, if u install xp. later u can
customize it from the start menu settings

Because after installtion, windows xp is going to
create .ini file in that file contains all the information
about desktop setting and "What exactly it contains". For
the first time nothing will be there in the .ini that's the
reason it contains only desktop icon

right click on desktop , select option which says show
desktop. Desktop icons n items would show up now .
