Egg.
If the Hen is a mutated animal, or a cross breed, then
there wouldn't have been a hen before hand but there would
be an egg that gave birth to the cross breed.
Evolution works in a similar way, that evolution takes
place giving rise to new species so either way an egg came
first, whether it came from a hen, as a result of
mutation / evolution or just from crossbreed.
