when am trying to configure data guard by using rman am
getting ora-01103 error.db_name in the primary database
init<sid>.ora and db_name in standby database init<sid>.ora
name must me same. once fix this solve the error

Hi,
this happened to me also.
The ploblem can arise if You don't have modified all
parameters in the NEW init<sid>.ora file
