Cause: Duplex backup to recovery area is not supported.
Action: Remove duplex option and try again.
Please add more information about this Error

this is because you might have set the parametes
1)configure datafile backup copies for device type disk to <int>
2)configure archivelog backup copies for device type disk to
<int>
now the solution is to clear the above two configuration
settings i,e...

now it will work ...................
