To set a static front page in WordPress, follow these steps: 1) Create a new static front page under Pages > Add New. 2) Assign the static page as the Front Page from Settings > Reading. 3) Create another page for posts, e.g., 'Blog', and make sure it has a Parent page set to your static front page. Then add `<your-blog-page-slug>` to the Posts showing at home setting.
