What is the difference between proof-of-work and proof-of-stake?
Answer / Ansar Alam Khan
Proof-of-Work (PoW) and Proof-of-Stake (PoS) are consensus mechanisms used in blockchain networks to ensure the security, integrity, and validity of transactions. PoW requires miners to compete to solve complex mathematical problems to validate new blocks, rewarding them with cryptocurrency as an incentive. In contrast, PoS selects a validator for the next block based on the amount of stake (cryptocurrency) they hold in the network.
