To unlock the background in Adobe Photoshop, follow these steps:n1. Open the image that has a locked background.n2. Go to Layer > New > Layer Via Copy or press Ctrl+J (Win) or Cmd+J (Mac).n3. The new layer will contain the contents of the original background layer, leaving the original locked background intact. You can now work on the newly created layer.n4. To unlock the original background, double-click the lock icon in the Layers panel to turn it off.
