To disable comments on a WordPress post or page, go to the Settings > Discussion menu. Uncheck the 'Allow people to submit comments on new posts' option and click Save Changes. Alternatively, you can also disable comments for individual posts by going to the post editor screen, locating the discussion meta box, and unchecking the 'Allow comments' field.
