correct answer and loses one mark for every wrong answer. If
he attempts all the 75 questions and scores 125 marks, the
number of questions he attempts correctly is

Let correct answers be T, then wrong answers will be 75-T.
Then 4(T) + -1(75-T) = 125
4T-75+T = 125
5T-75+75 = 125+75
5T = 200
T = 40
