What is the relation between an instance and ami?
Answer / Mayank Pushkar
An Amazon Machine Image (AMI) is a template that contains the configuration and state of an Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) instance. It includes the image, the type of operating system, and any application software or settings that were installed on the EC2 instance at the time the image was created. When you launch a new instance, you specify which AMI to use, and AWS creates a new instance with the same configuration as the specified AMI.
