agar is a algal product, it is derived from Gelidium, is
using as a solidifing agent.

Agar is also used in the preparation of ice-creams and jellies.
Main source of agar :- Agar are gelidium corneum, laurenica
pinnatifida is used as condiment. Mucilage from chandrus is
used in the manufacture of cosmetics, shaving creams , shoe
polish shampoos.
