Why has a tree so many leaves?..

Answer / guest

Because the broad leaf surface spreads out the green
pigment. This green pigment catches all the possible light
for the reaction between carbon dioxide and water. Moreover,
the gases can be exchanged with the air through billions of
a tiny air pores in the exposed surface and surplus water is
given off.
