There are two types of file systems ntfs and fat
ntfs is used for secutity encription and for sharing of
space.

There are 4 types of file systems:
1. FAT (FILE ALLOCATE TABLE)
2. FAT 16 (FILE ALLOCATE TABLE 16)
3. FAT 32 (FILE ALLOCATE TABLE 32)
4. NTFS (NEW TECHNOLOGY FILE SYSTEM)
FAT, FAT 16, FAT 32 has got less security
FAT converts NTFS.It cannot convert from ntfs to fat.
ntfs has got more security than fat and increases 2 options - sharing and quota
It supports large capacity of partion.
