what is difference between bounded and unbounded picklist?

Bounded Picklist, picks values from only fromS_LST_OF_VAL
(LOV)tables. It means that u can only pick values and
cannot enter freetext.....whereas in Unbounded picklist u
can enter freetext....

Bounded allows users to select only from the list.
Unbounded allows both ie 1) select vavues fron the field
2) enter new values into the field
directly

user can enter free text in unbounded picklist, but in
bounded user cannot

Bounded picklist is you can pick the value from the dropdown
window.But Unbounded picklist is you can type the value in
the field.

Value entered in the Unbounded picklist will restrict only
to that particular record and we cannot see the same value
in another record.
