taxable income 50000*12=6,00,000
tds on salary
o to 180000 = NIL
180000 to 500000 = 10%
500000 to 800000 = 20%
800000 above = 30%
so our total yearly income 600000
tax 180000 = nil
600000-180000=420000
so because second slope of income tax is 500000 then
320000*10%=32000
100000*20%=20000
so total taxable income = 52000

if a person draws salary Rs. 1200000 per month nett take home what is the TDS paid per month and per annum,.

The 50000 is the Net income and as we know the net income
includes all the allowances and other benefits (Deduction)
therefore the TDS as per the income tax is not calculated
accurately without geeting the basic income of the same
person or on the bases of basic salary of the person

taxable income=50000*12=600000
TDS on salary
180000-nil
180001 to 500000-10%
500001 to 800000-20%
800001 above -30%
600000-180000=420000
420000*10% =42000
cess 3% = 1260
total=43260p.a
43260/12=3605p.m.
TDS will be deduct 3605p.m from salary.
Before Deducting TDS consider allowable deduction like
Insurance, House Rent Housing Loan, Car Loan etc. if taken

for FY 2012-13 taxation on salary Rs.50000/-Pm.
Rs.600000/-
Rs.200000/- No Tax
Rs.200000 to Rs.500000(10%)=300000*10/100=Rs.30000/-
Rs.500000 to Rs.1000000(20%)=100000*20/100=Rs.20000/-
Total Tax = 30000+20000=50000/-
Add:Cess @3% on Tax=1500/-
Total Tax for the year 12-13 is Rs. 50000+1500=51500/-P.a.
and Rs.4292/-P.m.
