A pair of small, white,rounded cuticular structures present
in precoxal cavity of each antennule.
Attached to concave roof of precoxa opens outside by a small
opening on the base of precoxa.
Its central cavity contains minute sand particle surrounded
by elongated receptor setae.
Arranged in an oval outline attached to inner lining of
statocyst.
Statocysts acts as an organs of balance and orientation.
sandgrains function as statoliths.
any change in the position of animal alters the position of
sand grains.
