Is Police Checking Done for getting visa confirmation as that done when we have applied for passport?? If police checking doesnot include personal interview by police officals, then how is police clearance done for getting visa.......... Please reply soon if any one knows

I am house wife, have no children, never worked. I am free. Want to visit many relatives living in Canada for at least 9 months. My husband is retired. I have no problem of fund as I will be living with relatives. Q.1. What should I write for period of visit (one year) in form 5257 Q. # 1. "Details of visit to Canada". Q 2. Form 5645 (Family Information) If I mention spouse name & dob, I cannot say that I do not have a spouse & cannnot sign. am I right? 2.
