A ball is dropped from a height of 8 meters. Each time it hits the ground, it rebounds 3/4 of the d..

Answer / hemant gakkhar

solution results in an infinite geometric progression....

8 + 2*8*3/4 + 2*8*(3/4)exp2 + 2*8*(3/4)exp3...sum up to infinity.......

theoretically the process continues till infinite

8 + 2*8*3/4 { 1 + 3/4 +(3/4)exp2 + ....up to infinity }

8 + 2*8*3/4 { 1/(1-1/4) }

8 + 48
