I am from Egypt and i have my f1 visa interview in 2 days
and i need help with a question , i have a bachelor degree
in mechanical engineer and i am changing my field and going
to USA to make bachelor degree in web design "if the
consular asked me why have u changed your field " what do i
say ?

Note : I am changing my field because i didn't choose
mechanical engineer as here is Egypt college is 5 years the
first year is called preparatory year you have to get high
grade in this year to be able to choose what department u
want but i got 77 percent which wasn't high enough to let me
enter computer science so i was forced to enter mechanical
engineer but i didn't like it , so what do i say? do i say
this story or the consular will not like it ?

I got the visa based on my admission in a university in Texas. That means that it is mentioned in my passport (visa page). Can i get entry into US from any other state other than Texas.i intend to go to my sis's place from where i will go to my university. My travel agent told i will not be allowed. I have a very serious problem.in my passport my name is like First name-Nakul Middle name-Kumar.There is no Last name as my father also doesnt keep one.Now one university is asking for Last name to be written else get a new passport(which is not at all a good option) for I20.The second option they gave is that to keep First name as FNU (First Name unknown) and Last name as "Nakul Kumar".This option will create serious problems in VISA interview.Kindly suggest what should I do.I got admit from this university and its required for I20.Please help.
