I am from Egypt and i have my f1 visa interview in 2 days
and i need help with a question , i have a bachelor degree
in mechanical engineer and i am changing my field and going
to USA to make bachelor degree in web design "if the
consular asked me why have u changed your field " what do i
say ?

Note : I am changing my field because i didn't choose
mechanical engineer as here is Egypt college is 5 years the
first year is called preparatory year you have to get high
grade in this year to be able to choose what department u
want but i got 77 percent which wasn't high enough to let me
enter computer science so i was forced to enter mechanical
engineer but i didn't like it , so what do i say? do i say
this story or the consular will not like it ?

i attended my interview on 7th, they asked me 1) why do you want to study now? 2) are you working? i'm having a working experience of 5 years in s/w field. I answered 2nd but for my first question i think they have not satisfied with my answer. can u please help me out by giving a gud answer for my 1st query?
i have taken 6 1/2 yrs to complete my Bachelors in mechanical engineering with 56.5 % and 31 backlogs. GRE score of 1150 and TOEFL 100. I have sound knowledge though in mechanical design and CAD concepts which i plan to do MS in..?? Do i have any chance ti get an F1..? What would the V.O ask me..?? ( if at all he decides to ask me something..?)

I graduated my BE in April 2004 (though i got my certificates on october 2004) i joined my first job in on march 2005. And after this i worked here for about 1.5 years and resigned on August 2007. After this i joined a non thechincal call centre on june 2007. This being the case i have a period of gaps like 5 months between my under graduation and first job and 10 months between first and second job. Further i am working in a non tehcnical call center. How do you think i should tackle questions in this regard if asked about it please help...
1.why you select this university ?? 2.what is the california or (xyz) university ?? 3.how many university have u applied ?? 4.why you select this university ?? 5.what about other university ?? 6.what was your grad ?? 7.who is sponsoring you ?? 8.what is your financial background ?? 9.how will you survive over there ?? This 9 questions are important for any F1 visa.But 1 question is also important that is ask rarely 10.what is your GRE/GMAT score ?? OK Best of luck to all F1 students. Myself Rajkumar, These are the my credentials.... ---GRE-890----(Q-610)----(V-280) ---TOEFL-90 ---For Jan intake ---My background is Computer science. ---I had scored a 55% aggregate in my under graduation. ---and i had 30 backlogs.. --i got I-20 from three universities ---what is the suitable reason should i give at the visa counselor,i am thinking that the fallowing reason can satisfies them ------i was didn't put much hard work for the preparation for the exams but later i did and i succeded...... is that above reason will satisfies them,please help me out..................
Hello Fellas, I am about to see my interview in few days. My university expense is about 14000$ for one year.Its a 2 year course so that leads to a total to 28000$. For that we have about 1200000Rs in bank account(arnd 26500 $) other then this an investment proof of 2Lacs (4000$)+ 9 Lacs of gold(20000 $)+ 8-9 Lacs(18-20 K$) in my father's pf acct. On income side parents have well over 8 lacs rs((18000$) per year income. On fixed asset site a house worth: 12000000 Rs(250000$)+ a office worth 40000$ first please guide me will it be sufficient? Secondly in what way I can show my gold?Means is it self attested? Plz guide me. Regards & Thanks,

i am yet to finish my bpharmacy but my gre score is 278 my question that i have around 20 backlogs and the reason i couldnt clear them on time was due to health reasons wat are my chances of getting through the visa interview but the plus pt is i have been to the us as a tourist . is it necessary that i shud show my health certificate to prove that i was indeed ill the thing is that i have wasted 2 yrs writing my backlogs but in the mean time i have also worked in a pharma company for abt 1and half yrs so there any scope.
