In Server 2008 you can stop the active directory services
however in contrast you can not do this in server 2003.

2. in windows 2008 server we need to install active
directory through command dcpromo and windows 2003 we can
install both way.
3 windows 2008 server security is more windows 2003 server
security less.
4 windows 2008 server IIS we are using 7.0 and windows 2003
server IIS 6.5. IIS 7 its more advanced.
5.windows 2008 server diver it will take automatically
windows 2003 server we need to install driver manually.
