however in contrast you can not do this in server 2003.

1. Windows server 2008 use Hyper-V application & Roles concept
for better productivity but server 2003 does not have such
featurs

2. in windows 2008 server we need to install active
directory through command dcpromo and windows 2003 we can
install both way.

3 windows 2008 server security is more windows 2003 server
security less.

4 windows 2008 server IIS we are using 7.0 and windows 2003
server IIS 6.5. IIS 7 its more advanced.

5.windows 2008 server diver it will take automatically
windows 2003 server we need to install driver manually.

the huge different is features in windows server 2008:
RODC : Read only domain Controller.
Group policy : more Group policy available.
Clustering : Node Support : 16
IIS 7 : internet information services.
Virtualization : Hyper-V support in windows server R2
ICT : initial configuration Tasks. (great feature)
server Core.
NAP : Network access Protection.
TPM : Trusted Platform Model
above features in Windows server 2008.
