I have yet to see a correct answer. IT folks nearly always get it wrong. Some of the answers above are only correct in specific circumstances. People always miss the important of delivery/ship frequency. A transit and goods receipt time could be 7 days total. But if parts are being shipped from a supplier daily, the RLT for use in a formula, is 1 day. There will be 7 days of inventory in the pipeline. Not every material is Make to Order. It’s counter intuitive, but mostly just logic once understood.

Srikanth is right..but If u r using Inhouse production time
then Planned delivery time is not applicable since planned
delivery time is used if u r procuring the material from
outside. We specify it as Procuremtn type in Material
Master.
