IDocs, handle multiple messages with ease. Given the
centralized IDoc interpretation that SAP provides to all its
parts, it’s no problem to define an IDoc that will contain
more than one message, that is, more than one data record type.
A customer master IDoc, for example, may contain customer
profile information records for a customer with many
locations. But it may also contain location-specific pricing
information records for that customer in the same document.
This is an incredibly efficient way of bundling related
records, particularly when passing large amounts of complex
information from system to system (see Figure C).

Yes it is possiable.first we have to link the message type
and idoc type in we 82.
then we can add required message types in bd64(distibution
model).
example debmas is the message type and debmas05 id idoc
type for customer master, we can link these two in we82.
and create your own z message type and link to debmas05 and
maintain both message types in bd64.

Answer / sudhakar
Of course. In fact, SAP uses this technique for maintaining
backward compatibility. For example, message
type ORDERS is assigned to ORDERS01 and ORDERS02.

Answer / a.santhosh
yes,we can attach more than one messages with one idoc,
because idoc generates 3 records at runtime(control, data, status records) in this idoc can generate
any number of data records .for eg:whenever vendor sends some materials to the company and if vendor wants this goods recipt
and some additional information like(grno, larry no.,transporter name)then we have to send two messagesfor ONE IDOC 1.goods recipt info and 2.additional info. this can be done by we82

Yes it is possiable..
Example idoc debmas05 is for customer master.you can send
it with message type debmas.
i will create one custom message type and i can send the
same idoc debmas05 with custom message type...
message type is nothing but unique identification of
particluer application.
